Bagua is a tool used in traditional Chinese Feng Shui schools to analyse the house. We call it an energy map, because Chi circulates in a house in certain patterns.
Bagua in Feng Shui is superimposed on the floor plan of your home. According to Bagua every area in your home corresponds with fundamental life issues. he Chinese word “Bagua” means “eight areas.”
Each area relates to a different life circumstance, such as family, wealth, or career, and each one has corresponding shapes, colors, seasons, numbers, and earthly elements.
At the center of the bagua – a ninth area – is you, representing your overall wellness.
If you want Feng Shui work for you, it is important that you look not just at your home and its furnishing – you also need to look at your life circumstances and think about your wishes to make changes in your life and what you want to achieve, personal or professional.
How to begin?
Begin incorporating the bagua into your life by identifying one to three areas that you feel need the most attention. Do not attempt to work on all areas at once, as this can unsettle and easily overwhelm your self. To strengthen your energy or improve flow, incorporate Feng Shui tips in that particular room or area.
